Long-term perspective
We hold positions over horizons measured in cycles, not quarters. Time is treated as an instrument of return in its own right, and patience as a position we are willing to fund.
Luxembourg · Investment Holding Company
PEP European Investment is a Luxembourg holding company. We acquire, hold and steward participations for the long term, measured not by the cycle, but by the durability of the value we hold.
The Company
A Luxembourg holding company, established to own and steward capital with a single, long measure of success.
PEP European Investment S.à r.l. was incorporated on 28 May 2018 as a SOPARFI investment holding company. Its purpose is the acquisition, holding, management and disposal of investments, participations and financial assets.
The company acts as a long-term proprietor of the interests it holds. It does not manage capital on behalf of third parties; it commits and stewards its own, domiciled within the legal and fiscal framework of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Philosophy
We hold positions over horizons measured in cycles, not quarters. Time is treated as an instrument of return in its own right, and patience as a position we are willing to fund.
Capital is committed deliberately and seldom. Each allocation is weighed against the alternative of holding, and against the cost of being wrong rather than the appeal of being right.
Where we hold, we hold attentively. Ownership carries obligations of oversight, stewardship and continuity that extend well beyond the balance sheet.
Value is built through sound governance and considered support of the businesses we hold, not through financial engineering or the pursuit of short-term arbitrage.
Approach
Four principles govern how we hold. They are deliberately conservative.
We decline far more than we pursue. A narrow book of well-understood holdings is, to us, a sign of discipline rather than a limit on ambition.
Clear lines of responsibility, deliberate decision-making and proper records sit at the centre of how the company is run and how it holds.
We give the same weight to what can be lost as to what might be gained, and we size positions so that no single outcome is decisive.
We favour businesses and assets whose worth compounds quietly and is intended to endure across ownership and across generations of management.
Domicile
Luxembourg is among the most established centres for international holding and investment activity in Europe. Its legal certainty, its long experience with cross-border structures and its position at the centre of the European Union make it a natural domicile for capital intended to be held for the long term.

Governance
Good governance is not a constraint on the company. It is the company.
Decisions are made deliberately, recorded properly and reviewed against the long-term interest of the company. Oversight, compliance and the careful management of risk are treated as foundations rather than obligations.
